Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit There seem to be plenty of Tufted Titmouse in Cecil County. My birdhouses produced two clutches and there are plenty at the feeders now. Turkey Point seems to have its usual share. Last, week I was birding the southern section of Fair Hill Natural Resource Area. In addition to loads of Yellow-rumps, Kinglets and Sparrows (lots of Chipping Sparrows and White-throats), there seemed to be the usual assemblage of Chickadees, Nuthatches, Downy Woodpeckers and Tufted Titmouse. These areas also seem to be loaded with natural titmouse foods, poison ivy berries, seeds, etc. and there are still lot of insects about. Your Titmouse may just be finding more nutritious foods elsewhere. >===== Original Message From Maryland Birds & Birding ===== >In my yard, Tufted Titmouse has always been one of those birds that's >seen or heard virtually every day, year-round -- yet in recent weeks >I've hardly seen any.
