Highlights were: 2 Wilson's Snipes, one flushing up from underfoot, "scaip-ing" away, scaring the beejeezus out of me! 1 Lincoln's Sparrow 30 + Savannah Sparrows 2 (yellow) Palm Warblers 15 + Eastern Meadowlarks, vocalizing and one even carrying grass. Pair-bonding during migration? 1 late-ish White-eyed Vireo in very bright, fresh plumage. The other sparrows were the usual assortment of Swamp, Field, Song, and White-throateds. One Spizella gave me a Clay-colored kind of look (habitat and facial markings), but was distant and badly back-lit. I'll have to leave it as U/I Spizella.
