I did notice that Chickadees outnumber Titmice - although I haven't kept count seems to me it usually was the reverse. Hundreds of rambunctious Robins in the surrounding trees - many of them singing. A Whitethroat in full song a while ago also. First Chipping Sparrow dropped by, although he didn't stay to eat. One unidentified item - I had my computer glasses on so all I could tell was it seemed like a large flycatcher and had a loud call note. By the time I found my regular glasses it had moved on. Any male Cardinals reading this might be interested to know there several unattached females of your species around lately. Probably not though since it's the wrong season, although I did see one male approach a female like he was going to offer food. Not sure if it was the regular pair or not. Suddenly it's quiet... too quiet. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC)- fpierce@avialantic.com Mid-Atlantic Aviation on the Web - http://www.avialantic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
