The swan was still feeding in the pond(at the north = overlook) as of 1500 hours(3pm for the rest of you folks). =20 Also, lots of other birds today, Yellow-rumped Warblers, White-throated = Sparrows, Juncos, Pileated Woodpeckers, Northern Flicker, etc..... Downs Park is located just 2 miles north of Gibson Island, just pass the = sharp turn of Mountain Road (Rt. 177) and Pinehurst Road. The park = entrance is OFF of PINEHURST ROAD. It offers a wide variety of habitats = for birding.
