Ian and I did a three-hour walk around the trail loop. We found 42 bird = species. These included good numbers of sparrows (44 White-throats, 52 = juncos including one with a mostly white head) highlighted by 3 Fox = Sparrows - been wondering when the big guys would show. We also had 10 = migrating Red-tailed Hawks (all young birds), a Cooper's Hawk, 2 = migrating Common Loons; a Rusty Blackbird, a phoebe, and 2 Winter Wrens.
