I am sure that Leslie will update you on the exact totals. John Taylor was the official counter. We had a great day with well over 200 raptors being seen in just 5 hours. most remarkably though was the total lack of any falcons as of 12:30. Also notable was a Golden Eagle seen early in the morning by Tom Raub and Parke John. Aside from Raptors quite a few flocks of waterfowl (and loons) were flying by. Those included: Tundra Swan, Snow Goose, Canada Goose, Mallard, Northern Shoveler, and Common Loon. There may have been other loon sp. however, they were often very high sometimes loosely affiliating with swans and geese. On the ground we noticed good numbers of Chipping Sparrows, Robins, Eastern Bluebirds, Flickers, and Robins around. Good Birding, Chris Starling PS: It was nice meeting Scott Crabtree and his wife. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
