MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Saturday, 8 Nov 03, 0730-0930, Rachel Carson Conservation Park, Zion Road, Montgomery County - I observed an odd Winter Wren while birding RCCP. The overall plumage was lighter in color and it had a very distinctive white spot toward the back of the crown. Was this a juvenile bird? Other notables were Canada Goose, Mallard, Am. Black Duck, Ring-necked Duck, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser and Am. Coot. in the private pond along Zion Road and a lingering Eastern Phoebe perched along the Hawlings River.
