By 3:30 Fran and I had made it to Taylor's Landing (breaking a few speeding laws on the way) and were able to locate the 4 pelicans swimming in a group well to the north of where Hans and Jim had first located them. We got good scope looks at the birds and then called Mark Hoffman to let him know that we had relocated the birds. He noted this was only the second county record for White Pelican and he was sorry that he was home in Carroll County today. Obviously these were our best birds of the day but we did have 4 Tundra Swans fly over our house this morning (a new yard bird for us) and we located a lone TREE SPARROW at the maintenance area near the beginning of Bayshore Road on Assateague Island.
