I have a new puppy, so I've been out in the yard a lot. The birds don't mind and the feeders have been quite busy. I've had the regulars, but the highlights so far have been the 12 Purple Finches--all but 1 are "brownies"--and a single Brown Creeper. The Goldfinches are up in the poplar tree gleaning seeds, and I had a Fox Sparrow in the brush pile. Also, my husband saw a Red-headed Woodpecker on Albert Rill Rd. this morning! We'll see what the rest of the day has in store for us.
