However due to the early setting sun I was only able to check the Gunpwder River and not the Bush. There wasnt mush to speak of out there as far as waterfolw but I did manage to find 3 mallards, 11 Ruddy Ducks, and 3 Hooded Mergs. Also out there were thousands of gulls sitting on the water. Most were Laughing Gulls. I dont have my yellowbook but it seems rather late to have so many (1000+) Laughing Gulls this far up the bay. (your thoughts?) Other birds seen around the base today were 2 Black Vultures, White-throated Sparrows, and a very Goshawk-like accipiter. The bird was seen with optics but was very large and flying like a sharpie.
