Apparently they acquired about 600-700 acres adjacent to Rt. 28 in Montgomery County in 1998/99 to be developed as an equestrian park. I noticed it on my way up to Lily Pons a few weeks back. Looks like it would be an interesting place to bird on the way to or from Lily Pons. M-NCPPC has put up their "No Hunting/Trapping" signs but there are also a lot of "No Trespassing" signs on the property. The "No Trespassing" signs appear to be from pre M-NCPPC ownership but I'm not sure about this. I went to the M-NCPPC website to try and find out more and even emailed them but did not get a response. Anybody on MDOsprey work for the commission or know somebody I could contact to find out more info?
