Today I was joined by three other observers when the bird = arrived at 4:30 PM, 10 minutes earlier than yesterday. We watched it = fly in from the south, circle in, and land in the water with the = Double-crested Cormorants which numbered 6 today. Light was excellent = and the sun was not yet behind the trees. The Peregrine was seen again today. It landed in a tree on the = cormorant island. Also seen today was the first Common Merganser there = this season, a female. Canada Goose, Black Duck, Mallard, Bufflehead, = Red-breasted Merganser, and Ring-billed Gull were also present. Barred = Owl was heard again.
