Species present were: Mallard, Black Duck, Northern Shovler, Common Mergs, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Lesser Scaup, and, Mute Swan. Also present were 8 Pied-billed Grebes, many Coot, a few D-c Cormorants and a lone GREAT CORMORANT. The GRCO was way up in Furnace bay. The light was perfect as it sun-batthed on a log with it's BIG wings spread. It was Noticably larger that the other (nearby) cormorants. it's white belly extended all the way to and past it's feet. it also had a noticable yellow base at the bill. Yesterday I erroneously emailed in that I had seen 12 Blue-winged Teals. that should have read 12 GREEN-winged Teals (at Perryville)...
