I got a close look at the little thing, and it was definitely the Black-chinned that I had gazed at all last week - no rufous anywhere, no large spots on the throat, actively tail-wagging. I'll keep an eye out for any newbies! I might have two lifers at one feeder! Jim PS: I supposed I should have warned my audience that the museums are open on Thursday, and that the Friday after Thanksgiving is traditionally the single busiest day at the Smithsonian all year.
