Andy et al, Fall is not a particularly good time of year at Hughes Hollow for waterfowl mainly because they are hunted there. Before the season starts in October Wood Ducks may be common. Now the only time to see ducks here is around sunset until it gets darks when the come into roost, mainly in the buttonbush swamp. During the day it is hit or miss. I have seen good size flocks come in and briefly land on the open water . The other factor this year is the abundance of water which allows waterfowl to be spread out more over the area.
