Six Pine Siskins were also one-day wonders. Both visits were early November. Have not seen either species in the yard since. Joe Alexander Middletown, Frederick Co., MD joealexander@adelphia.net -----Original Message----- There have been many welome reports of Purple Finches ("PUFI"s) and Siskins over the last few weeks. But as we move closer to winter I wonder how steadfast these birds have been. Our own PUFI's stayed only one day, and I sense that others have also moved on. What is the experience of others who reported PUFI's earlier? And what does that foretell about the chances of their occurring on the CBC's? - Fred Fallon Bowie fwfallon@earthlink.net ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
