The godwit was feeding along the mud flat behind the Jolly Roger's amusement park at 22nd street. The gull was resting on the mud flat behind Hooper's Restaurant, which is at the west end and north side of the U.S. Route 50 bridge. The west Ocean City pond has about 25-30 HOODED MERGANSERS that we saw at very close range from the car.
