There we, along with Dave Perry, quickly located the bird, perched and quietly calling in a small sycamore. We had very good looks at the bird and were able to confirm that, as I would expect of an out of range, fall Myiarchus flycatcher, the bird is a juvenile. It showed rufous extending into the secondaries, and a mostly rufous tail without the dark tips of the adult as seen from the underside. Later, we picked up Bob Ringler, who had adequate, but not great looks at the bird in the sycamores along the seawall. Cathy Carroll was also there to see this beautiful bird. Thanks again to Jim Peters for alerting us about his 216th species for the Fort.
