The junco's face was black but its crown was bright white. The upper back was white and there were white streaks in the dark wings. The underside was completely white from throat to belly. Only the narrow outer edges of the tail were dark; the central tail feathers were entirely white. We tried to get a photo but the bird kept getting chased away from the feeder.
