I was happy to find a few semi-rare things turning up along the plow trails. Most notably was a lone Fox Sparrow amoung the hundreds of Juncos and White-throateds. I was also happy to find 5 Hermit Thrushes in various places around the instalation. Raptors included a mature Sharp-shinned Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, and two Northern Harriers out over the Gunpowder River. Also notable was a complete lack of waterfowl with the exception of scattered flocks of Canada Goose passing over head. The Red-headed Woodpecker also remains in the poplar/gum stand that it has inhabited now for the past two weeks.
