Thanks for joining me. I arrive at 830am at Mary Livington Ripley Garden between Art & Industries and Hirshhorn Museum today. Bill Cross was also there at same time. 1st year female Black-chinned Hummingbird first seen at 832am and continue until 906am and reappear again at 916am. The Rufous Hummingbird came later at 846am making two quick trips to nectar feeder at "Carolina Silver Bell" tree and return once at 925am. I left at 930am to warm up by looking for birds east toward Reflecting Pond and saw 58 Ring-billed Gull, 5 Herring Gull, and 1 Great Black-backed Gull with some sparrows, and ton of pigeons. I headed back to the garden before 10am to look for hummers again and was greeted by Frank Powers at my arrival. The Rufous was active this time and the Black-chinned appear once or twice. I left again at 1030am headed west to look for more birds and ended at Lincoln Memorial and pick up my truck and then head south to West Potomac Park, East Potomac Park & Haines Point.
