Bayside was a bit breezy. Highlights were: In one area immediately south of the parking lot, I found one American Tree Sparrow in with the Songs, White-throateds, and the myriad Yellow-rumped Warblers. Imprints of wings in the snow and a few drops of blood were probable evidence of accipter activity, and a juvenile Cooper's Hawk with a full crop flew by minutes later. On the north side of the park, along the border hedgerows, a flock of almost 20 Field Sparrows were seen feeding in with the Song Sparrows and Cardinals.
