Beetham" Subject: East Potomac Park 12/11 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I observed the following species in East Potomac Park this morning: Double-crested Cormorant Great Blue Heron Canada Goose Mallard American Black Duck Bufflehead (male in flight, off of Hains Point) Bald Eagle (3rd year, sitting in a sand trap on the golf course) Merlin American Coot (about 20 on the channel side) Ring-billed Gull Great Black-backed Gull Lesser Black-backed Gull (in a flock of Ring-billed Gulls near the point) Northern Mockingbird American Crow European Starling Dark-eyed Junco I was also in the Ripley Garden for about an hour in the morning and observed the rufous hummingbird using both feeders.
