MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sorry for the late posting but was traveling all day yesterday and am just now catching up. Yesterday (12/21) at approximately 8:45am we were driving along I-70, westbound about 2 miles east of the Big Pool / Indian Spring exit and a male RING-NECKED PHEASANT walked out into my lane! FORTUNATELY I missed it, as did the traffic behind us and the bird made it safely across the road. Then later in the day (I know this is off-topic but it's just too entertaining to not share) when we were on the PA turnpike about 5 miles from the OH/PA state line, we saw a commotion in the back of the Ford Focus station wagon ahead of us. At first we thought there were kids wrestling with each other, then we thought it was dogs, then we realized they were ........ EMUS! There were 4 Emus in the back of this Ford Focus station wagon, milling around and not looking too happy about their road trip. What a sight!! Happy Holidays!! Sarah B.
