A mid-day visit to Pickering Creek Audubon Center in Talbot County = yielded the following birds: Canada Geese - many Green-winged Teal 300+ Black Duck 2 Northern Shoveler 2 Ring-necked Duck 2 Northern Harrier Kestrel Red-tailed Hawk Yellow-rumped Warbler HOUSE WREN=20 Sparrows: Song 20+, Swamp 2, White-throated 30+, White-crowned 2 Cardinal Blue Jay Towhee 4 Carolina Wren Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Belted Kingfisher Great Blue Heron Black Vulture Turkey Vulture Along my lane near Tunis Mills this evening, a BROWN THRASHER was scolding from the hedge row. That rascal dodged the Christmas Count, = but was also seen in early December. Other home-place visitors in the past = few days have been Cedar Waxwings (130+) harvesting fruit from a Bradford = Pear tree in my yard, one Chipping Sparrow, up to 13 House Finches, one = Goldfinch and still around 50 Mallards on Leeds Creek.
