This could be a pretty easy flight for "our" Rufous, but of course we can't be certain unless someone can determine if this bird is banded (something I've never been able to do, even looking at a hum I know has been banded). If this Rufous will even use pansies, that would really expand the number of areas she could be visiting. The Ripley garden Rufous seems to be spending extended periods away from the garden; it would be great if we could figure out some of her other regular routes, so more birders might get a chance to see her. He was flitting along from one concrete pot of pansies to the other on one side of the street and then up the other side. I'm still figuring out how to post onto that board & came across your email address in a posting, so thought you might be the person to tell about it.
