While opening christmas presents yesterday morning at my mother-in-law's house on the North East River (Cecil) we were treated to 5 Bald Eagles (1 first winter, 2 second winter, and 2 mature). the eagles spent the entire morning in the front yard perching, fishing, eating, fighting, playing, screeching....you know the normal things eagles do. At times it was quite intimidating coming rather close to the large windows that take the front of the house. We had to bring the cats in after one of the young birds took a pass at the cat! Also this morning as a returned to work in southern Harford County I had a Sharpie flying high above the road. the bird appeared to be migrating.?. -gonna try for the red-headed Woodpecker here at Edgewood later. It has been a couple weeks since I've looked for it Good Birding, Chris Starling North East (Hances Point), MD ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
