Subject: Red-headed Woodpeckers at Hughes Hollow MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable At least 3 adult red-headed woodpeckers were present at Hughes Hollow this afternoon (12/27). They were in the trees on either side of the 1st field on the right after the impoundments. I met a couple who said they had seen as many as 8 in that area a few days ago. Also a ruby-crowned kinglet and the handsomest cardinal you ever saw. No sign of hunters, nor of any waterfowl.
