( 1 mile west of Seneca Road and Springfield Road in Darnestown). It was an immature, brown, thickly marked below. It flew toward the east (toward Seneca Road) after I watched it perched for about 30 seconds. The bird was huge, with powerful wingbeats the superciliary stripe was seen well. It was very stocky for an accipiter which drew my attention immediately. Happy to have a new yard bird, just made it onto the 2003 list. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
