The Black-Headed Gull that was originally found on the Denton CBC on 12/20 was still present today at 11 AM. The treatment plant was on my territory in the count, but I was new to the area and unaware of how view to the ponds. I called the Town of Denton and was denied official access due to post 9/11 type security reasons. {Insert your own opinion here} I found out later that the ponds can be viewed from outside the plant. That is what I did today. Directions: Go to the intersecton of 404 and Legion Rd (the light at the east end of the 404 bypass) and turn into the shopping center with Rose's. Loop around back at the far end of shopping center, climb the embankment and look through the fence. Be careful not to spook the geese. There are 20 or so Ring-Necked Ducks to boot (difficult in Caroline County).
