Up the road from home [Jos boyles rd ]was a Red tailed hawk. Near by tilghman neck rd centreville md 21 killdeer feeding in a field later at the woods edge this same area had 22 wild turkey feeding. Reeds Creek had about 500 Ruddy Ducks . Both Blue and white Snow Geese feeding in a fleld near Centreville Md. Jackson Creek in Grasonville Md behind Hollys off route 50 2 Mute Swans , 3 Tundra Swans , 2 adult Bald Eagles sitting on a channel marker. kent Narrows Goldeneyes, 1 Surf Scoter, Horned Grebe,1 Greater Black Backed Gull, Coots And Long Tailed Ducks. Wye Island is still hosting the immature Red Headed Woodpecker. Queenstown had a several Great Blue Herons. I had planned to bird at Tuckahoe State park this morning but found the gates locked at the time they should have been open . well anyway I birded the Road edges Before moving on birds there Chickadees , Bluebirds , 3 Song Sparrows, Northern Harrier, 1 Chipping Sparrow, cardinals. not a bad Start to the new Year.
