MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Hi Mdospreyers-- Hope that Norm will forgive one message that is definitely NOT Maryland birding -- Barry and I have just left Antarctica now half-way through our mega-pelagic from Capetown to Valpariaso Chile. We've seen many wonderful birds, including Snow Petrels around the ship in Antarctica and up to 45 Wandering Albatrosses in our wake in the Drake Passage. Plus such enigmatic species as Kerguelen Petrel and old friends like Wilson's Storm-petrel. One great memory -- leaving Tristan da Cunha and having 75 (!!) White-faced Storm-petrels skipping in the glassy waters at the bow of our ship! We are back on January 16th with lots of photos and video and many wonderful memories...
