If any of you see any of these lovelies please give them directions to my favorite weedy field. Despite the lack of winter finches, other good birds were plentiful. The highlights (all in PG county along the Patuxent) were an adult male Common YELLOWTHROAT and a CATBIRD at Milltown Landing, a young Snow Goose at Merkle (no White-fronted Geese today), Red-breasted Nuthatch in the Cedar Haven section of Patuxent River Park, 50 American Pipits and a Horned Lark in the fields along River Airport Road. Although the Pipits and Lark were in the same fields, they were not associating with each other.
