Subject: DC sightings MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Did a little birding in DC today (in between a trek to Clarke Co. VA to see the Black-throated Gray Warbler), and found the following birds of interest: Ripley Garden Ovenbird Am. Kestrel (on top of A&I building) (I missed the hummingbird) Hains Pt Merlin (2 or 3) Am. Coot (c. 30) Peregrine (2 on the wires along the RR tracks over the river) It's always nice to have a 3 falcon day in DC. Also interesting that Kestrel was the least numerous. I may have had some other birds for the DC Comp list, but I'm guessing that John H. or Denise R. have already reported them. Good birding, Paul Pisano Arlington, VA Cheep AT erols.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
