Had my first Northern Flicker visit the suet feeder, a Red-breasted Nuthatch has returned, and a 1st Winter White-crowned Sparrow has been hanging with the White Throats. Also had visits this week by 2 Brown headed Cowbirds and separately, a single female Red-winged Blackbird. Not rare by any means but kinda weird to see just a single blackbird visit, when I have not had one since October. Thanks also to those of you who reported on Little Seneca Lake. Was up there today and its "waterfowl" city! Hope the lake does not ice over completely before I can get back this weekend.
