Goldeneyes in HowCo MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Kurt, Today (Saturday Jan. 17) there were a good handful of Common Goldeneyes at Black Hill Regional Park in western Montgomery County. Must've been at least 6 pairs, along with 10 other species of ducks plus Canada Goose and a smattering of American Coots. Highlights were a number of Redheads, good numbers of Canvasbacks, lots of Ring-necks, both Common and Hooded Mergansers, a few American Wigeon, Buffleheads and Ruddy Ducks, Mallards and Blacks. A Belted Kingfisher was seen near the water from the visitor center, a few Pied-billed grebes were present, a few Red-tailed Hawks also. Lots of Ring-billed Gulls and a few Herring Gulls too.
