Between White Rihardson Rd. & Woodyard Rd. (mi. 124) north side of Rt. 50 there seemed to be over 100.000 snow geese (give or take 1 or 2) of all ages and plumages. The flock was .45 miles long and extended from Rt 50 to Old Ocean City Rd.(est. about .15mi). This is roughly 2400 ft. by 750 or 1,800,000 sq. ft. If we were to give each bird a sq. yd. it would be 200,000 birds. I halved it for open areas and fear of exageration. Cars were continuously stopping to take pictures and bring children into the field which disturbed the birds only briefly. Mixed in were at least 2 Greater White-fronted Geese and 3 Ross's. Good luck, the birds were wall to wall. The field is in Wicomico County.
