This = represents number 99 for the year in Charles Co., MD. My target is 100 = for January and 236 for 2004. If the year continues like this, 250 = could be possible in the county this year. The Rusty Blackbird flock of over 110 birds was around the house in = Waldorf again today. They are likely to stay until the cold weather = passes. Can I afford to feed them and the 2000 Common Grackles until = spring? A few Red-wings and a Brown-headed Cowbirds gives me a four = blackbird house day. I also had one Song Sparrow, one Eastern Towhee, = 30+ White-throated Sparrow and ~100 Dark-eyed Juncos. =20 The male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 9 Black Vultures and one Turkey = Vulture were also visitors today. With snow falling now, tomorrow AM = should be prove to be very interesting. Get your feed and water out = early. After the storm stops would be a good time to go look for Lapland = Longspurs and Snow Buntings in your area. I plan to. I still need = Horned Lark for the county year list also. Stay warm.
