I first saw it when the light wasn't too good. I could see it had the markings of a Song Sparrow but was larger than the White-throated Sparrows and I thought it had a reddish hue but thought it might be wishful thinking. About 30 minutes later, armed with better light and binoculars, I confirmed my suspicions. It came frequently all day until dark. I have had a Red-breasted Nuthatch coming to my feeder for about 2 weeks now, but today, I had 2 Red-breasted Nuthatchs at the same time. Now I wonder if I have been seeing two and didn't realize it until now.
