We camped there this past fall and saw several during our weekend there. They were easily visible too. Last week we saw our first neighborhood one working several large trees in our neighbor's yard. It would peck and then remove large sections of bark (2-4 ft) then feed on what it found underneath for quite a while. The only reason we initally noticed it was because of its size and the fact that the trees were relatively bare. We are still seeing "our" brown creeper sneak to our tree to eat. Just yesterday we actually saw him eat plain suet. Before then, it would simply move up the tree without stopping at the feeders. It seems to make early morning and late afternoon visits.
