If anyone is interested - or has expertise and could help identify the subspecies - I would be glad to email it along. Other birds of interest on a decent February day of birding between 2:30 and 4:45 p.m. at the Pond and around the PG Courthouse included: * Bald Eagle, 2 soaring over head. * Cooper's Hawk, 1 * Red-Winged Blackbird, 3 * Gadwall, 10-12 * Merganser, sp. (Got away before we could get a good look) * American Coot, 1 * Great Blue Heron, 3 * Canada Goose, approx. 300 flying roughly south, another 40 or so on the ground * Carolina Wren, 1 * White-Throated and Song Sparrows * Downy and Red-Bellied Woodpeckers, Common Flicker And one muskrat!
