The single Snow Goose was already present. At the feeder, the lone Pine Siskin keeps showing up each day, including today. Yesterday, (1/1), fifteen members of the Talbot County chapter of MOS converged on Ocean city for some winter birding. Wayne Bell led the group. Though a bit chilly early in the morning, the bird viewing was = quite rewarding - over 60 species located. Highlights: Single King Eider and single Common Eider kindly moved to visible spots at the east end of the jetty during the early morning viewing. Other jetty region birds were Purple Sandpipers and Ruddy Turnstones, Oystercatchers, three Great Cormorants, Common and Red-throated Loons, all three scoters and a few Horned Grebes. Two Pied-billed Grebes were found in the channels of the Marina around what used to be called Shanty Town. Hooded and Red-breasted = Mergs were there too, along with some Greater and Lesser Scaup. Skimmer Island - many Dunlin, several Black-bellied Plover, one Western Sandpiper, and a couple of Sanderlings, along with the normal = ducks and gulls. Great views of Lesser Black-backed Gulls were attained at the 17th Street Flats and also at Ocean Pines. At Ocean Pines a pair of Redheads were amongst the goodly numbers of Canvasbacks. Bath time for the gulls provided some extra entertainment. =09 Les Roslund Lroslund@bluecrab.org Talbot County Easton MD 21601 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
