Recently, I had to move from Glenn Dale and have taken residence in a roo= m in Bowie that has a balcony. The room is in a house with wooded surrou= ndings. So far, I've had 9 species of balcony-visiting birds: Carolina W= ren, Junco, White-throated Sparrow, Cardinal, Blue Jay, Carolina Chickade= e, Tufted Titmouse, Mourning Dove, and Fox Sparrow (+4 brazen squirrels).= The Fox Sparrow visited several times today (6 Feb) for seed. BTW, I still try to get to the old address a couple times a week to sprea= d seed for my old friends that I miss, including a one-eyed lady Cardinal= Hope to continue to assist them through the winter. Two of them today eating with the regular Song Sparrow. One looks like a first winter bird and has= no tail. Reminds me of a miniature Bobwhite running around. The Cardinal jus= t went out of his way to make the other WT, an adult, quite unwelcome. Not sure what he has against Whitethroats. He tolerates the finches and everybody else pretty well. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC)- fpierce@avialantic.com Mid-Atlantic Aviation on the Web - http://www.avialantic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
