MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Folks, While doing Anne Arundel County's first midwinter count this morning, I found a Red-necked Grebe in the Patapsco River off of Ft. Armistead which is located just under the western end of the Key Bridge. This comes as no surprise, as this location is just four miles downstream from Ft. McHenry where these grebes have already been reported this winter. Also of interest, across the water at Ft. Carroll (Balt. Co.) was an immature Great Cormorant, perched on the seawall with scores of other cormorants. Ft. Armistead is accessed via exit 1 off of I-695, then Ft. Smallwood Rd. to Fort Armistead Rd.
