This afternoon on a walk through the National Arboretum in NE DC I found a Red-breasted Nuthatch in the Asian Collection and two Eastern Bluebirds along the road that runs past the columns from the Capitol. The ice on the Anacostia has melted, and there were about a dozen common mergansers swimming upstream.
