This morning, neither Shelly not I saw it in brief checks of the feeder. I made a short spin around the Oak Grove area yesterday morning, but the wind pretty much quashed all activity. I saw a spiral of Snow Geese landing in the distance, but beyond the home circle :(. I went to investigate since I had nothing of greater interest. I found them in the corn stubble field at the corner of Briar Hook Rd and Hill Rd, just as the last few geese were landing. I quickly found one Ross' Goose in the flock (approx 5000) and had only scanned about half of the total when an eagle spooked the whole bunch. Despite my urging them to fly a couple miles west and settling into the home circle, they insisted on leaving to the northeast. How rude!
