First I noticed a flock of Starlings = bunch into a tight ball and make several rapid banking maneuvers. Then, = the falcons came flapping up making a flanking movement and driving the = flock down underneath of the bridge. I didn't get to see the outcome of = their pursuit but based on the decreased population of Rock Pigs around = the bridge in recent years, I doubt that they came away hungry. This pair nested, and fledged one young, under the bridge during the first = year of the atlas. Maybe they'll do it again this year. I don't believe = they nested there last year.
