Waxwing in QA County. Unfortunatly I was in the hospital the day it was found. Gratefully though I was welcoming a new Starling in to the world. Liv Woodland was born on Saturday the seventh she is our first child. Even though she was only an hour or two old, while holding her at the delivery room window we saw a Merlin swoop into the hospital campus (Delaware)! (her first raptor though!!!). Coincidently yesterday at home, we added Merlin to our yard list! Chris, Congratulations! I remember how I felt upon the birth of my first (daughter also). You must be very proud, and thanks for sharing your story. Always the birder! My youngest (also a daughter, 17) is just now asking to go birding with me, after being dragged along when she was tiny, and then getting (well) away from it for years. Enjoy her while she's young...
