The birds were feeding on holly berries and crabapples. If I recall correctly, last year there was a robin irruption; even non-birders noticed and were puzzled by seeing large groups of robins in suburbs and towns when it was still winter. Any evidence of unusual robin numbers this year, or is it just another early sign of spring?
