Hello all. Today Joel Martin and I went to the Cecil Co. Landfill. We = had a Gull that I have identified as a adult Thayer Gull .I did = photograph this bird.  I saw it in flight 4 other times. The underside = of the wing was clean white. I could make out a little dark edge on one = or two of the primaries from underneath . The outer tips of the = primaries did have a couple of dark spots on them but had a white look = over all. I felt that this bird also had a small rounded head, kind of = hard to see the full  extent of it in the photo, but can still make it = out. The bill size was not as broad or as long as the Herring. I do = think this bird is coming into adult plumage.

Herring Gulls 2000
Ring-billed Gulls 2000
Greater Black-backed Gull 800-1000
Lesser Black-backed Gull 6

The Gulls watering hole is the North East town park.There was about 2000 = Gulls there. Two of which were Lesser Black-backed Gulls.The other 1998 were = Ring-billed, Herring, and Greaters.
